Jewels

Coming together to reach, teach, and help save! If not now, when? If not you, who? If not for this, for what?

Who Are We?

We are a conference of women engaging to effect a powerful change in our homes, churches, schools and communities by raising an awareness of our inherent resourcefulness as well as the myriad of tools available within our environment and within our sisterhood.

Why?

Today we are faced with spiritual, health, social, financial and physical challenges that we have not been prepared to handle. A combination of any of these can be overwhelming to say the least..

Now what? Unite together and learn. How?

This auxiliary’s focus is on helping each other build on the strengths we have and reach to develop those we do not have. While daily demands are ever increasing, filling our plates at an abnormal pace, let’s stand firm!

TRAITS OF A JEWEL

When we hear the word jewel, usually what comes to mind would be a diamond, ruby, emerald, sapphire or a pearl; however, the First Lady of the Western Division of Free Will Baptists Incorporated has added a little twist. Our JEWELS are Jesus-Empowered Women Edifying Love Selflessly. And under that umbrella we see women of virtue whose price is far above rubies, diamonds and pearls.

A JEWEL is as strong and resistant as the most flawless diamond. She is powerful, but yet she knows when to step back and allow someone else to take the lead.

She is positive, but yet she reproves with meekness. She is a leader among her peers, and like Queen Esther, she is willing to be used for such a time as this. She is as gentle and loving as Mary, the mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

She steers clear of gossip and seeks to strengthen the weak and encourage the afflicted. She is not a foolish woman who tears down her house with her hands. She lives to be a servant of God. Yes, she has struggles of her own in this Christian race, but she remembers what the Bible tells us in Matthew 5:10: “Blessed are they that are persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

A JEWEL is pure in heart for the Bible also promises that for her virtue she shall see God. A Jewel is a peacemaker, for she is a child of God. A Jewel is a Proverbs 31 woman; she is a woman who takes care of her family by means of being a nurturer, entrepreneur, a help meet, and a lover of her own husband.

She is a thinker who makes preparations for those she is held accountable to and others. She is a woman with a plan or a solution and seeks the Lord daily for guidance, for we all have heard the Scripture that Jesus speaks in Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.”

A JEWEL is a woman who seeks the Lord diligently for that is how she shall receive her rewards. She is strong, but she knows when to be humble; humility is no issue for a Jewel. She is a beacon of light illuminating like a ray of sun beaming down from heaven. She is a light on a hill that cannot be hidden. A Jewel is a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a daughter, a cousin, a friend, and most of all a Servant.
